Many people are surprised to hear that Phil Dill Boats was not always a retail marine dealership. The company actually began as a sheet metal fabricator & manufacturer serving the drive-in theatre concession industry in the early 50's. His business was known as the General Manufacturing Company . In 1954 Phil Dill was commissioned to build a line of aluminum boats called the "Cruiser Craft". This line consisted of 11 models, once of which was called the Sunbeam Family Cabin Cruiser. After three years of successful manufacturing, Phil Dill turned his interests to retailing and, as they say

Since the mid 1950's, Phil Dill Boats has been recognized as one of the most successful marine dealerships in the United States.
